Judge Patrick Bulanek | 461th Family Court
MEET THE JUDGE
Judge Patrick Bulanek has presided over the 461th Court since September 1, 2019, after he was appointed to this Court by Governor Greg Abbott. His current term ends in 2024. This Court is newly formed, as of 2019, and has helped serve the needs of the Brazoria County community and work through the backlog of family law cases.
Judge Bulanek has been an attorney since earning his law license from the Texas State Bar in 2006. Prior to serving as the presiding judge of the 461th District Court, Judge Bulanek was in private practice in Danbury, Texas. He focuses on fairness in his Court, and has said that he pursues the practice of law to help others.
He is an active member of the Brazoria County Bar Association and the Federalist Society. He is also a former member of the District 5-3 Grievance Committee of the State Bar of Texas. He is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Danbury. He resides in Brazoria County, Texas with his wife and two children.
